On Sunday at 1:27 p.m. the NWS Hanford CA issued a lake wind advisory in effect until 6 p.m. for Kern River Valley.

The NWS informs, “East winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.”

“Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft,” comments the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
