Vonn, 41, has made headlines for a variety of reasons this year. Back in February, she suffered a complex tibia fracture during the downhill skiing event at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Despite needing several surgeries, she remains in good spirits.
Just a few weeks ago, Vonn went viral for “hard-launching” her relationship with French skier Matthieu Bailet. She shared a few vacation photos that grabbed everyone’s attention.
Fast forward to this Thursday, and Vonn provided yet another photo dump on Instagram.

“I guess this means summer is over….but it also means my birthday is coming up soon,” Vonn wrote for her caption.

It was an eventful summer for Vonn.
Vonn refused to let her injury slow her down this summer, that’s for sure. Not only did she attend the ESPYs, she made an appearance at the US Open in New York. Heck, she was spotted playing tennis on the grass courts at the International Tennis Hall of Fame
“Once I get my ACL, then I’ll have another long road ahead of me. But for now, I feel great, and I’m very thankful for that,” Vonn said. “I’m hoping that I can have the [ACL] surgery in November, but it’ll be in the winter sometime, and then it’ll be another nine months until I’m fully recovered from that, so I can’t really look beyond that. I don’t really know what the future holds, but like I said, I’m just thankful for where I am right now.”
