Multiple College Football Games Moved Up as Hurricane Isaias Nears Landfall

With Hurricane Isaias set to make landfall in the United States this Friday, changes are being made to the Week 6 college football schedule.

It was announced Friday that Davidson and Presbyterian have moved up their kickoff time for this weekend’s game in Clinton, South Carolina by 5.5 hours due to inclement weather. They’re now set to kick off at noon ET on ESPN+.

East Tennessee State and The Citadel have also moved their kickoff time to noon ET since the weather in Charleston isn’t expected to hold up.

Additionally, Rice and East Carolina moved up their kickoff time due to the incoming hurricane. Their kickoff is now set for 1 pm ET.

What about Alabama vs. Georgia?

The biggest game of the weekend undoubtedly features No. 2 Georgia and No. 6 Alabama. While fans can’t wait to watch these two SEC programs square off in Tuscaloosa, there are major concerns about the weather.

According to The Weather Channel, however, Hurricane Isaias is expected to move through Tuscaloosa before kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET.

ESPN’s “College GameDay” has already announced that it’s moving indoors for Saturday’s show in Tuscaloosa. The game itself, on the other hand, isn’t expected to face any delays.
