The 2026 NFL season is about to kick off, and Week 1 is stacked from start to finish. The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots open things Wednesday night, followed by the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers meeting across the world in Australia. Sunday brings a full slate headlined by Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Caleb Williams, before Patrick Mahomes makes his return from injury when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.

But before any of that action gets underway, the league had one more announcement to make.
The NFL announced Wednesday that The Farmer’s Dog is officially joining the fold as its first-ever Official Pet Food Partner, a multi-year deal that kicks off with a campaign starring New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo and his senior rescue dog, Duke.
Skattebo and Duke have been Farmer’s Dog customers for years, long before any partnership talk, and the new spot gives fans a look at a side of the second-year back’s life that usually stays far from football.
The Giants running back spoke about the deal himself: “I’ve had Duke for every high and every low. He’s been my teammate long before football became my career. I started feeding him The Farmer’s Dog because I wanted as many healthy years with him as possible.”
The NFL is also planning content and fan experiences tied to Super Bowl LXI, the NFL Combine and the NFL Draft, along with ties to community initiatives like My Cause My Cleats, Salute to Service and NFL FLAG.

“If The Farmer’s Dog teaming up with the NFL gets even one more person thinking differently about what they feed their dog, that’s something I’m proud to be part of,” Skattebo added.
The Farmer’s Dog already has a presence in the league through the Dallas Cowboys, serving as the team’s official pet food partner and the official pet food of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
The NFL season kicks off Wednesday night with the Seahawks and Patriots, before the Chiefs and Broncos close out Week 1 on Monday Night Football.
