The MLB postseason has been thrilling, but there’s some outrage online regarding the commercials that are being shown to the public.

For starters, Sydney Sweeney’s campaign with Novig has aired countless times over the past few weeks. The commercial has received plenty of backlash since it shows Sweeney covering herself with footballs, tennis rackets and other sports-related equipment.
“Sydney Sweeney looks amazing, and honestly good for her. But this isn’t about her or her body,” women’s tennis player Priscilla Hon wrote on Instagram. “Young girls already grow up feeling like they have to look a certain way. They’re constantly being shown what the “perfect” body is supposed to look like, and sport should be one of the places that teaches them their bodies are about what they can DO, not how they look. We should be showing the next generation that being strong, talented and capable is enough. They don’t need another reason to believe their body is what makes them valuable.”
There’s also a Ro Sparks commercial featuring Megan Fox that keeps being played during every playoff game. The ad shows the “Transformers” actress promoting a treatment for treatment for erectile dysfunction. Fox’s commercial has been labeled inappropriate by many viewers due to her mannerisms and skintight clothing.
A few baseball fans have lectured the MLB for letting controversial commercials air on TBS and FS1.

“Hey MLB – wanna get more kids watching baseball? Maybe start with the commercials,” one fan said. “Leagues can’t figure out why kids don’t watch. You don’t need a Nickelodeon game. You’re not the Savannah Bananas. Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house.”
“I’m an adult and even i don’t want to see these kinds of ads,” a second fan wrote.
“This is a HUGE complaint in our house. Why are gambling, and ED commercials on during the day, or during sports?!?! Our culture has no idea how to act around children. They have lost the meaning of decency,” another fan commented.
