Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens picked the perfect time to open the Jesse Minter era, running past the Indianapolis Colts 41-23 on the road. Baltimore’s offense set the tone immediately, scoring on four of its first five possessions and putting the game out of reach before Indianapolis could find any rhythm.

The Colts gave the Ravens a tough fight, though. When Zay Flowers exited with a hamstring injury in the second half, Indianapolis used the opening to climb back within 15 points with just over 10 minutes left.
Before leaving, Flowers had already turned in a career-best 150 receiving yards in the first half alone.
Coach Minter didn’t have much to offer on his top receiver’s status after the game, leaving Baltimore’s coaching staff and fan base waiting on answers heading into the week.
But Monday morning came with an update in Baltimore’s favor. The hamstring injury is not considered serious, according to reports, and Flowers is considered day-to-day as he undergoes an MRI this week, per Underdog NFL.

Flowers is entering his fourth NFL season as the Ravens’ unquestioned WR1, and his fingerprints were all over Baltimore’s offense a year ago.
He caught 86 passes for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games in 2025, adding a rushing score for good measure. That production is exactly why Baltimore locked him up in August with a four-year, $140 million extension, and Sunday’s opener was a reminder of why the Ravens were willing to pay.
