Less than 48 hours after making his 2026 regular season debut, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was mentioned in a massive Ponzi scheme.
Kelce, an 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champion, was named in federal court Tuesday as one of several victims who was tricked by Siddharth Jawahar. According to KCTV-5 in Kansas City, there was no other mention of Kelce other than the fact that he was burned – financially speaking – by Jawahar.
TMZ reported that Jawahar took more than $35 million from investors. Not only has he been sentenced to 11 years in prison for fraud, he was ordered to pay over $31 million in restitution.
“According to the feds, Jawahar ran Swiftarc Capital LLC and funneled nearly all of his clients’ money into one investment — Philip Morris Pakistan. When that bet went south, prosecutors say Jawahar lied to investors about how their money was performing … while using new investor cash to pay earlier clients,” TMZ reported. “The feds say he also lived large on the money, splurging on private jets, luxury hotels, restaurants, shopping and pricey apartments.”

It’s unclear how much money Kelce lost in this massive fraud scheme.
Kelce hasn’t said anything about this scandal.
As of this Wednesday morning, Kelce hasn’t commented on the money he lost to Jawahar.
Kelce is coming off a 71-yard performance on “Monday Night Football.” He’s No. 2 all-time for receiving yards by a tight end, passing Jason Witten in that category. Now he only trails former Chiefs star Tony Gonzalez (15,127) on the list.
“It’s a good feeling to get this win, all the other stuff is just hoopla now,” Kelce said.
