After a shock exit at the French Open, Sinner didn’t play any tournaments between Roland Garros and Wimbledon. He arrived nearly two weeks before the start of Wimbledon and practiced his way to victory. But he can’t do the same during the US hard-court swing, as there are a couple of Masters 1000 titles up for grabs.

It’s safe to say that the world No. 1 will not be playing any tournament this month. He has two Masters 1000 events scheduled next month: the Canadian Open in Montreal and the Cincinnati Masters.

According to what Sinner’s coach, Darren Cahill, had said, the Italian might travel to Montreal, as there is a gap of nearly three weeks between Wimbledon and the start of the Canadian Open on August 2, giving Sinner enough time to rest and recover.
If Sinner indeed makes a deep run in Montreal, there is a good chance that he might skip Cincinnati altogether. While the team is yet to make a final decision, tennis fans will almost certainly see Jannik Sinner compete in at least one of the two events: Montreal or Cincinnati.
