Four juveniles were arrested after two separate robberies Friday in Elk Grove, and police said they were searching for two more suspects.

The first robbery happened around 7:15 p.m. in the 9800 block of Elk Grove Florin Road near Elk Grove High School, according to a release Monday from the Elk Grove Police Department.
Two teenage suspects, ages 14 and 15, allegedly grabbed a necklace from the victim’s neck after walking by them, according to police. The teens then ran from law enforcement before being found hiding in a nearby backyard, with one of the suspects being taken into custody with the assistance of a police dog.
The two suspects were arrested on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy and resisting arrest. They were transported to a juvenile detention facility, officers said.
Officers responded to a second robbery around 10 p.m. in the 9100 block of East Stockton Boulevard, which is near shopping centers anchored by In-n-Out Burger, Raising Cane’s and Hobby Lobby.

The victim reported that four teenagers stole their necklace and fled the scene, according to police. Two suspects, both 16 years old, were later taken into custody, one of whom was detained after a foot pursuit and the assistance of a K-9.
The two suspects were expected to face charges for robbery, conspiracy and resisting arrest, and were detained at a juvenile detention facility, police said.
Police said they were still searching for the two outstanding suspects, and that the investigation remained ongoing.
