The college football community is mourning the loss of a 2-year-old in a tragic drowning accident.

The young son of former BYU Cougars college football star Curtis Brown has been found dead in a drowning accident. Haze Brown was found dead in a drowning accident at their family home in Clovis, California, July 26, police told the New York Post.
A family friend, Chandler Pearson, confirmed the tragic news in a GoFundMe.
“Kim and Curtis recently lost their miracle baby, Haze, in a tragic drowning accident. No words can ease the heartbreak they are facing as they grieve the loss of their precious son,” Pearson wrote on the GoFundMe page.
“Many of you know and love Kim, Curtis, and their family, and have reached out asking how you can support them during this incredibly difficult time. One meaningful way to help is by contributing to this GoFundMe campaign. Your donation will help ease the financial burden of funeral expenses and other unexpected costs, allowing the Brown family to focus on healing and being together.

Brown played college football at BYU. He was a two-time first-team All-Mountain West Conference performer. During his senior year, he became the school’s all-time leading rusher. He finished his collegiate career with 3,241 rushing yards and 1,309 receiving yards with 36 touchdowns over 52 games.
Tragically, a family member reportedly found the 2-year-old boy unresponsive in the pool and called 9-1-1. He was ultimately declared dead.

Former BYU players and coaches are heartbroken.
