Chase Brown is coming off his best season since being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he rushed for 1,019 yards and six touchdowns while adding 437 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Ahead of his fourth NFL season, Brown has already revealed a major goal he has for his career, and it is one he could end up accomplishing this season.
Chase Brown Has Lofty Goal
Recently for Bengals.com, Geoff Hobson released some interesting quotes from Brown when he spoke about former Bengals running back James Brooks, who was at Thursday’s training camp practice.
One thing noted by Hobson was that Brown would like to have a season in which he is able to have 1,800 scrimmage yards, which would beat out Brooks’ 1,773 scrimmage yards he had in 1986. That season, Brooks rushed for 1,087 yards and had 686 receiving yards to set the record.
For Brown, he wants to accomplish this record goal by having 1,000 rushing yards and 800 receiving yards. He has already proven he can rush for over 1,000 yards, but the receiving goal will be the real challenge.
For Brown to achieve this, he would need more opportunities beyond just the traditional checkdowns and would instead need more work from either the slot or designed screens to truly see his receiving production increase.

That extra added element could end up making the Bengals’ offense more versatile for the future, though, and could truly be something they look into implementing.
Joe Burrow Wants Chase Brown More Involved
Luckily for Brown, Burrow recently spoke out about how highly he views Brown in the offense and that he wants him more included going forward.
Brown has already shown he can be a three-down back, and having Burrow’s endorsement could allow Brown to see more opportunities than he has had in the past.
While the receiving aspect of Brown’s goal remains the toughest part for him to achieve, especially with Cincinnati having Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, he has continued to show the Bengals he hasn’t reached his ceiling yet. With Brown still improving, he will have plenty of chances to reach this goal going forward.
