Morton, 24, has earned the unenviable task of keeping the quarterbacks room stocked for the summer, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, which includes keeping up with the personal requests of starter Drake Maye, backup Tommy DeVito, and quarterbacks coach Ashton Grant.
Morton’s shopping list has included fresh oranges, disposable cups, Gushers (for DeVito), and Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos (for Grant). Maye, perhaps the most important person in that room, didn’t have his request revealed — perhaps because his sweet tooth was satisfied during “Bakemas” by his wife, Anne Michael.
It’s a storied tradition for rookies to be asked to supply snacks/goodies for the vets, but this is new around One Patriot Place.

Bill Belichick put the youngsters in their place by making them wear ridiculous numbers until they officially made the active roster. Jerod Mayo didn’t believe in razzing rookies. Mike Vrabel, on the other hand, has allowed the veteran leadership council to implement some fun.
It’ll remain to be seen just how ludicrous the shopping list is for rookie offensive lineman Caleb Lomu.
