Entering 2026 as the favorites, should the Rams pull the trigger again? This time on Tyreek Hill?
Hill, an eight-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro, remains on the free agent market as the Rams prepare for Week 1, starting with a joint practice Tuesday. The 32-year-old wide receiver tore his ACL on “Monday Night Football” against the New York Jets last September, ending his 2025 season. Miami’s new coaching staff and front office, steering the team in a different direction and unwilling to pay Hill’s roster bonus, released him this offseason.
Speculation about where Hill could land has been rampant, with some even floating a reunion with his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Bleacher Report’s Moe Morton laid out the case for the Rams instead.
The Rams are Super Bowl favorites with arguably the NFL’s most talented roster: reigning MVP Matthew Stafford, reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie, a top receiver duo in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, and a productive backfield in Kyren Williams and Blake Corum – not to mention the possible return of Aaron Donald, perhaps the most dominant defensive tackle in NFL history.

The case for why it could work
“Los Angeles can sign Hill on a modest contract and keep him on the shelf until late in the campaign when it’s time to make a title run,” Morton wrote. “With his ability to line up in the slot, he would fill a need at the No. 3 wide receiver spot as a complement to Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.
“If the Rams are interested, it should be appealing to Hill. He could compete in another Super Bowl before his career comes to an end.”
The Rams’ No. 3 receiver spot is currently up for grabs, and even at this stage of his career, Hill could project as a strong complementary option next to Nacua and Adams in coach Sean McVay’s offense.
Three weeks ago, Hill posted a social media update indicating his recovery is going well.
