Capt. Zach Eaton, a department spokesperson, said two city-owned automated license plate readers near the airport were found damaged Friday, along with related equipment.
Lincoln police have reported repeated damage to the city’s Flock Safety camera network this year, with incidents increasing this summer.
Two cameras were damaged April 29, followed by four between July 1 and 2, Eaton said. Two more were damaged July 5 and another two July 22.

Authorities have not released details about when or how the latest cameras were damaged or the specific locations of the equipment.
“All of these incidents remain under investigation,” Eaton said. Police were withholding further details to avoid compromising the investigations, he said.
The damaged cameras are part of a citywide network of automated license plate readers. The technology captures vehicle license plate information and other identifying details that can assist law enforcement investigations.
Police said they would release additional information when doing so would not interfere with the investigations.
