Tiny Lot Pizza & Grill opened its first storefront at 1121 Alhambra Blvd., after operating as a catering company and online delivery service since 2014, according to its website. The restaurant sells a variety of pizzas and burgers that meet halal dietary standards.
Halal is an Arabic word referring, in part, to food prepared according to Islamic religious beliefs which forbid the consumption of pork or alcohol.
The restaurant prides itself on using fresh ingredients in its dishes. Tiny Lot slow-ferments its pizza dough for 24 to 48 hours to craft a “deeper, more complex crust flavor” with a lighter texture, the business owners wrote online.
“You’ll notice the difference in the first bite—the crust has structure without heaviness, with a subtle tang that complements the toppings rather than disappearing beneath them,” the owners wrote.

All the restaurant’s sauces are created from scratch, withe fresh toppings and a menu that includes traditional cheese and beef pepperoni pizzas plus BBQ chicken pizza, garlic buffalo chicken pizza, and a chipotle-flavored pizza with mozzarella, chicken, beef bacon, and chipotle aioli. Tiny Lot also serves smash burger combos. It also offers homemade tiramisu for dessert.
“Whether you’re ordering a classic Margherita or exploring the burger menu, you’re getting ingredients that were selected for how they taste together, not just what’s convenient,” its website reads.
Tiny Lot is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays, according to its website.
