The couple has been dating since 2020, and Thomalla is a well-known television personality in Germany. She hosts the reality show Are You the One? and is also a co-owner of Hardkorn Spirits.
Their relationship gained international attention after they appeared together in the Netflix tennis documentary series Break Point. The series showed Thomalla supporting Zverev during his recovery from the serious ankle injury he suffered at the 2022 French Open.

Zverev’s daughter, Mayla, was born on March 11, 2021, to his former girlfriend, Brenda Patea.Patea, a German model, was in a relationship with the tennis star for less than a year between 2019 and 2020. The couple split before Patea’s pregnancy was publicly announced. They later reached an out-of-court agreement regarding Mayla, under which they share custody of their daughter.
However, the former couple’s relationship became complicated after Patea accused Zverev of physical assault.
Reports claim the allegations initially led a German court to issue a penalty order against Zverev, including a fine. Zverev contested the order, which resulted in a public trial in 2024.

The case was ultimately dismissed before a verdict was reached after Zverev and Patea reached an out-of-court settlement. Under the terms of the settlement, Zverev agreed to pay €200,000, with the money going to the state and charitable organizations.
The birth of their daughter also brought Zverev and Patea together as they sought to provide Mayla with a proper environment to grow up in.
“Even though Brenda and I are no longer together, we have a good relationship and I will live up to my responsibility as a father,” he said.
“Together we will take care of the little person that is about to grow. I am very much looking forward to the child.”
