The start of the NFL season also marks the beginning of another fantasy football season. With every week being crucial in the world of fantasy, getting an edge is vital.

Here are the Green Bay Packers you should either have in your lineup or on your bench for Week 1.
Start
TE Tucker Kraft
Kraft may be the only offensive player on the Packers who is a must-start in Week 1. In fact, he’ll be a must-start all season long, and could be in the hunt to be the top tight end in fantasy by season’s end.
Meanwhile, Kraft should be jacked to play after inking a four-year, $75 million extension on Saturday. Not to mention, when healthy, he’s one of the more dynamic players at his position and atop the go-to list on the Packers’ offense.
WR Christian Watson
Fresh off signing a four-year, $110.5 million extension in the offseason, Watson is entrenched as the No. 1 receiver for the Packers. After recording 35 receptions for 611 yards (17.5 YPC) and six touchdowns in just 10 games, the 27-year-old may be primed for a breakout campaign.
Watson will likely be quarterback Jordan Love’s first look on Sunday, which means plenty of targets. Additionally, with fellow wideout Jayden Reed and standout tight end Tucker Kraft garnering attention, Watson could have a chance at putting together some large gains behind the Vikings’ aggressive defense.

Sit
QB Jordan Love
Without running back Josh Jacobs, Love may have plenty of opportunities to throw the ball on Sunday against the Vikings. However, it will be tough to find success facing a Brian Flores defense that ranked number one in the NFL in blitz rate a year ago.
Love may end the day with a lot of passing attempts and could accumulate some numbers, albeit with a higher chance of committing a few turnovers. Essentially, there are likely better options to start in Week 1.
RB MarShawn Lloyd
Lloyd was probably a popular late-round sleeper in most leagues, considering the status of Josh Jacobs. He’ll get the first shot at being the bell-cow for the Packers, but his role is nowhere near set in stone.
The 2024 third-rounder may still hold some promise, but he’s wholly unproven, with only six carries and 15 rushing yards on his NFL resume. Plus, there’s likely to be a rotation in the backfield with Chris Brooks and Kaleb Johnson, as the Packers figure out what they have at the position.
