The Chiefs will get into action on Monday night. Kansas City will be taking on Denver in a primetime Week 1 game on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.” It should be a fun one.
Ahead of kickoff, Gracie Hunt, the daughter of the Kansas City Chiefs owner, took to Instagram to show off her opening weekend outfit.
“Let’s get down to business 🔒🏈 The Chiefs Kickoff Luncheon is always a special opportunity to come together, celebrate the team, and officially set the tone for the season ahead. The road starts here—let’s get to work, Chiefs Kingdom! ❤️💛,” she shared before kickoff on Sunday.

Chiefs have high hopes heading into 2026 season
The Chiefs, who are coming off a disappointing playoff-less season in 2025, will look to rebound in a major way in 2026.

Patrick Mahomes is coming off an injury and is expected to be ready to go in time for the Week 1 game.
The Chiefs remain confident.
“We’re gonna be a new version of the Chiefs that goes out there and dominates the same way the old one did,” Mahomes said before the start of the 2026 season.
The AFC West will be tough, though. The Broncos are coming off an AFC Championship Game appearance and the Chargers are poised to break out under star quarterback Justin Herbert, as well.
Meanwhile, the Raiders could eventually be led by No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick Fernando Mendoza, who will probably be taking over for Kirk Cousins at some point during the 2026 season.
