The California Highway Patrol is asking the public for help identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash Thursday on 32nd Street in North Highlands.

The CHP’s North Sacramento office said in a statement that the crash occurred on northbound 32nd Street, south of Elkhorn Boulevard. The vehicle involved was described as a small, dark-colored pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet S-10 or similar vehicle. Investigators found a black side mirror and a bullet-style antenna at the scene that they believe came from the pickup.
The vehicle may have noticeable damage and could be missing a side mirror and antenna.

“Even a small piece of information could help investigators identify the vehicle and driver,” the CHP said in its statement.
Anyone who witnessed the crash, has surveillance or dash-camera footage from the area, or recognizes a vehicle matching the description is asked to contact Officer Erby or Officer Pudge at the CHP North Sacramento Area office at 916-348-2300.
