Five snaps into the game, Jaxon Loftin threw 63-yard bomb to Damari Dean for a quick seven-point lead. The advantage grew to two touchdowns the next time De La Salle possessed the ball and then three touchdowns.

De La Salle went on to win 42-0, the Concord powerhouse’s sixth consecutive victory to open this season.
Coming off a thrilling 35-32 win over Centennial-Corona in a national showcase six days earlier at Cal’s Memorial Stadium, De La Salle made sure there would be no hiccups as it took the field 472 miles from its Concord campus.
The Spartans scored on all four of their first-half possessions, the last a 16-play drive that started inside their own 10-yard line.
Loftin scored on a sneak, just as he did when he made the score 14-0 earlier in the half.
