“And now Broncos WR Pat Bryant has been carted off due to a leg injury,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter posted on X.
We don’t know the severity yet, and the Broncos hadn’t announced his status as of this writing. Needing a cart for a leg injury is a worrying sign, though.
Pat Bryant injury update
We’ll update this post as soon as the Broncos announce Bryant’s status.
He’s the second key Bronco to go down on Sunday. Cornerback Pat Surtain II went straight to the locker room after getting hurt just before halftime, and Denver trailed 10-3 late in the third quarter.
The second-year receiver came into Sunday with six catches for 86 yards and a touchdown through three games. His 67.5 receiving grade ranks 43rd among 85 wide receivers, per Pro Football Focus.

It’s also the second time in less than a year that Bryant has left a game on a cart. He was taken off after a hit against the Jacksonville Jaguars last December and released from a Denver hospital later that day with a concussion.
Who steps in for the Broncos?
Marvin Mims Jr. is listed behind Bryant in the slot, and Troy Franklin is the next receiver up behind Courtland Sutton and Jaylen Waddle.
Denver at least has bodies there. Mims and Waddle were both cleared to play this week after dealing with foot injuries.
