Daniels, who suffered an elbow injury earlier this season, is “risking” further dislocation by playing on Sunday, according to Schefter.

“There are doctors around the NFL who believe it’s a matter of when, not if, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels hurts his left elbow again, sources told ESPN. Daniels visited specialists in New York and Los Angeles, and the overwhelming opinion was that playing with a brace was a viable option. But there are doctors around the league who, despite not having examined Daniels, maintain that a player who dislocates his elbow twice — as Daniels has over the past 11 months — is at a higher risk suffering another dislocation, according to sources,” Schefter reported.

NFL fans, though, think this is unecessary.

Commanders fans, in particular, are upset by Schefter’s pregame report on Daniels and his injury.

Fans push back on Schefter’s Daniels report

NFL fans are pushing back.

“Wow a football player could get hurt. Breaking news,” one fan wrote.

“No quotes , no named doctors. What are we doing here?” one fan added.

“It’s almost as if you want him to get hurt,” one fan added.

“Pretty wonky article by Schefter here. 1. The piece itself offers no tangible evidence or reasoning—just vague reporting of “concern.” 2. Doctors will admit they can’t make a true evaluation without seeing X-rays or MRIs. Unless they’ve actually examined Daniels, their opinions are meaningless. 3. Dropping this on game day is certainly a choice. I’m curious if there are ulterior motives behind the timing,” one fan added.

“Delete this!” one fan added.

Is Schefter’s report on Daniels’ injury status legitimate or is the criticism that he’s facing fair right now?
