He also revealed that he drew inspiration from Hot Chelle Rae and Dave Matthews Band during the creation of the album.
“An album wasn’t really in the cards for me in my mind,” said Cabrera.
“It’s still me, but [I’m] also being a little adventurous.”
That wasn’t the only announcement.
The featured single, entitled “I’m Just Drunk (Lexi’s Texts),” will feature his wife, Alexis Cabrera, who is known in the wrestling community as Alexa Bliss of the WWE. She is a former five-time WWE Women’s Champion and a future WWE Hall of Famer.
According to Ilana Kaplan of People Magazine, the idea for the song came from fans turning the Cabreras’ text messages into songs.
“When this came about, I was like, ‘If I have enough tequila, I can make it work. I can figure out how to sing it,” said Bliss.
“It’s arranged in a way that still sounds like an actual song, but a lot of the stuff that came out of her mouth, I’m like, ‘That’s a cool lyric,’” Ryan said.

It’s Been an Eventful Week for Alexa Bliss
First, the news that she dropped the feature single off her husband’s upcoming project, and then on Friday Night Smackdown, she would replace Charlotte Flair as Tatum Paxley’s tag team partner after Flair was jumped backstage by Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab.
Bliss and Paxley would go on to beat Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. It’s the fifth time Bliss has held the belt, and she became the first woman to win the titles with four different partners (Asuka, Nikki Cross, Charlotte Flair, and Tatum Paxley).
During recent appearances on “Busted Open Radio,” both Bliss and Paxley spoke about getting the chance to work together in the new faction they’ve formed with Charlotte Flair.

“So we first met in NXT. Charlotte (Flair) and I went to NXT and did a match at NXT Homecoming, and we had a match against Tatum (Paxley) and Izzi (Dame), and it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of similarities between Izzi and Charlotte and Tatum and myself and it was really cool to see, and I found out after the fact that Tatum watched me growing up,” Bliss laughed.
“Now we’re at the (stage) where people are like, ‘Oh, I watched you growing up.’ I’m like, ‘Great!’ But, she had a lot of inspiration from my character and that was really cool to see and working together with her was really cool across from the ring and I think it opens a lot more opportunities now that we’re gonna be on the same side of the ring, partnering together. Maybe I’ll bring out new parts of her character, she’ll bring new parts of mine, maybe even Charlotte and I’m really excited about that because she’s super talented and it’s fun to see a character, again, come up on the main roster because I love seeing people who are so into their characters because that was one of the things that I learned from Bray (Wyatt) was you have to immerse yourself in your character and to see that in Tatum, I’m really excited to explore that.”
Paxley spoke about learning from two of the very best in the business.
“I couldn’t ask for two better people to take me under their wing and introduce me to this world, because it’s different than NXT,” Paxley said. “I’m traveling all the time. I’m seeing different crowds. It’s different. To have people of their caliber watch over me, I couldn’t be more thankful for the position that I’m in. Every single week, like both of them, they’re just making sure I have what I need, that I’m good to go. They’ve just been the best people to me ever, and I’m so thankful for them.”
Meanwhile, during a recent appearance on CBS’ ‘Set, Hut!’ hosted by Russell Wilson and Kyle Long, Charlotte Flair called Paxley a ‘Stud,’ and dubbed her the future of the business.
“I think she is such a stud. She is the future, and I hope I get the opportunity to win gold with her this Friday on SmackDown.”
Make sure to catch Monday Night Raw on Netflix in Bossier City, Louisiana, this week because you never know who might show up, and the Women’s Tag Championship has to be defended on all three brands [Raw, NXT, and WWE Friday Night SmackDown].
