Rocklin police are advising residents to use caution after a bear was spotted Tuesday near Argonaut Drive, Sweetwater Drive and Aiken Dairy Road.

The bear was last seen on Skyline Drive, according to the Rocklin Police Department.
While bear sightings in Rocklin are relatively uncommon, authorities said wildlife can occasionally wander into residential areas in search of food and water.

Pet owners should keep pets on a leash and supervise them while outdoors.
Anyone who encounters a bear behaving aggressively or posing an immediate threat to public safety should call 911.
