Bell will be active when Buffalo faces the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. Head coach Joe Brady confirmed the decision Saturday after Joshua Palmer was ruled out with a shoulder injury.
The fourth-round pick is embracing the moment rather than getting caught up in the occasion. Speaking after practice, Bell made clear he is eager to get on the field and contribute.
“My first thing is I’m going to be super grateful,” Bell said. “Take it all in and once that ball snaps, it’s ready to go. Time to roll.”

Bell has spent the opening four games waiting for his first regular-season opportunity after being inactive each week. Palmer’s absence has now opened a path for the rookie to get involved, and Brady said Bell has made the most of his chances in practice.

The coaching staff also has reason to value his versatility. Bell said he has been learning different spots in the offense so he can be ready when his number is called, even if he has to handle a role he did not specifically rehearse that week.
That preparation could prove important against the Rams, particularly if Buffalo’s receiving options remain limited. DJ Moore is also dealing with a shoulder injury and was listed as questionable, leaving some uncertainty around the group available to quarterback Josh Allen.
Bell is not being asked to carry the passing game alone, but his debut gives Buffalo another option as it prepares for a difficult road test. His connection with Allen has developed through practice, and Monday offers the pair their first chance to translate that work into regular-season action.
For Bell, the immediate goal is straightforward: absorb the moment, trust his preparation and execute when the ball comes his way. His first NFL appearance is finally here, and the rookie has made it clear he is ready to roll.
