A new wildfire was reported today at 11:56 a.m. at O’Connor Way & Laureate Lane, San Luis Obispo in San Luis Obispo County, California.
A crew of 55 firefighters has been working on site and they managed to contain 30% of the fire by Sunday afternoon. The cause is, however, still being investigated.
The fire is fought by six engines, one water tender, one helicopter, two dozers and two hand crews. According to Cal Fire, “Numerous firefighting air tankers from throughout the State are flying fire suppression missions as conditions allow.”
