Dak Prescott Makes Off-Field Announcement Before Giants Game

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys decided to draft Dak Prescott in the fourth round with the 135th overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. It’s important to note that Prescott was not Jones and the Cowboys’ first choice going into the draft, as they intended to trade up to draft Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook before ultimately selecting Prescott. However, Jones can’t have any complaints about his decision as Prescott has more than repaid the Cowboys’ investment.

The 2025 NFL season was a testament to the quality that Prescott possesses. The Cowboys quarterback was prolific throughout the season. Prescott, with the help of star wide receivers George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb, completed 404 passes on 600 attempts for 4,552 yards and 30 touchdowns. Prescott’s performance earned him the fourth Pro Bowl selection of his NFL career.

Prescott knows how to give a return on someone’s investment, whether it’s on the field or off it. His popularity and performances have earned him major business partnerships such as those with Jordan Brand, GLOW Beverages, among others.

Heading into the Cowboys’ first regular-season game against the New York Giants, Prescott announced another business partnership with Athletic Brewing Company, one of the largest non-alcoholic brewers in the country. Drake Maye has also joined the company as an athlete-owner.

Both Prescott and Maye will star in the brand’s debut campaign, “Athletic Fits,” which will be launched across social media in September. Prescott took to Instagram to make the partnership public, saying, “As I’ve become more involved in business, I’ve become increasingly intentional about the opportunities I pursue and the people I choose to work with.”

“I really admire what Bill and John have built and their willingness to challenge conventional thinking,” he added.

Prescott might be involved in off-field partnerships, but the goal for the Cowboys quarterback is simple: win the Super Bowl and end the franchise’s 30-year Lombardi Trophy drought.
