“First of all, don’t touch me. Security!” – Giannis Antetokounmpo got upset after a rich kid wanted to move him out of his seat during dinner in Miami

The league was left in shockwaves this July when news broke that after 13 years in the Milwaukee Bucks uniform, Giannis Antetokounmpo was taking his talents to South Beach to maximize his prime and chase a few more Larry O’Brien trophies to solidify his resume as one of the all-time greats.

Naturally, it didn’t take long for Heat Nation to start buzzing. The franchise just landed a titan holding two MVP titles, a DPOY title, a Finals MVP title, an NBA title and an NBA Cup, as well as the Cup MVP title along with 10 consecutive All-Star appearances.

It is a new reality for the Greek Freak as well, who moved from relatively quiet and chilly Milwaukee to a city bursting with life where stars like him can truly feel like real superstars.

The bizarre request immediately left Giannis wondering

Yet, Giannis recently found himself right in the middle of a stunt by a guy who goes under the name “The European Kid” on Instagram during a gala dinner at the Japanese-inspired steakhouse and lounge Gekko Miami, where the 6-foot-11 forward was invited to dinner with family and close friends.

During dinner, Aris Yeager, who is followed by about 1.4 million followers on Instagram, approached him, pretending that restaurant owner David Grutman promised him the reservation for the table where the Greek forward was sitting, which made Giannis wonder who this guy even was.

After Yeager told him that he was asking him to move to another table so he could sit at his reservation, putting his hand on Giannis’ shoulder, the Greek got even more enraged, shouting:

The tone shifted completely

Just a few moments later, the group found themselves together at the table in a pile of laughter, drinking traditional Greek drinks. Namely, as soon as the rest of the table realized that this was a guy of Greek roots, they immediately changed the tone of the conversation and, in accordance with Greek tradition, invited him to join them at the table.

Whether it is all part of a skit and really good acting is not known, but the fact is that the camera was on and Giannis really looked angry, thinking that some random guy approached him without knowing who he was.

At the end of the day, it was a hilarious, lighthearted moment that ended in good spirits, which is what matters most. It’s safe to assume the group spent the rest of the night enjoying great conversation.
