Shayna Baszler did not have to wait long to make an impact in TNA.
Baszler made her TNA in-ring debut Sunday at Bound for Glory, teaming with former WWE stablemate Zoey Serrano to defeat Allie and Kiera Hogan for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships.

The finish saw Serrano send Allie into a knee strike from Baszler, who followed by locking in the Kirifuda Clutch. Allie passed out, giving Baszler and Serrano the championships in their first match together in TNA.
Shayna Baszler Wanted to Keep Wrestling
Baszler’s arrival was revealed on Thursday’s episode of TNA Impact after Serrano was challenged to find a partner for Bound for Glory. The reunion makes sense considering their history in WWE, where Baszler and Serrano, then known as Zoey Stark, teamed alongside Sonya Deville as Pure Fusion Collective.

That is good to see considering Baszler made it clear after her WWE release that she was not finished wrestling. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet last December, the former NXT Women’s Champion said she still wanted to wrestle while also expressing interest in coaching and helping younger talent.
At 46, Baszler has plenty to offer in either role. Her WWE main roster run never quite captured what made her dominant NXT run so compelling, but she remains one of the most distinctive wrestlers of her generation.
Now, instead of simply talking about what comes next, Baszler has another championship around her waist. Winning it in her first TNA match is a pretty strong way to begin the next chapter.
