Grammy-winning singer Victoria Monét to make hometown Sacramento tour stop

Sacramento fans of singer Victoria Monét will have a chance to see the award-winner in concert this December.

The R&B and soul artist has significant local ties. She moved to the area when she was a teenager, and attended Sheldon High School in Vineyard.

Along with her 2023 album JAGUAR II and hit songs such as “On My Mama,” Monét also has written and co-written a significant number of songs for other artists, including the girl group Fifth Harmony and Ariana Grande.

In the last few years, Monét has also earned a number of honors from the music industry. She was awarded three Grammys in 2024, including the award for Best New Artist.

Earlier this year, Monét announced the October release of her new album, “Frequency of Love.” Her tour of the same name kicks off Oct. 27 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Sacramento is Monét’s second-to-last stop on the tour, with a Dec. 16 concert at Memorial Auditorium. Tickets will go on sale next week, starting Monday for presale tickets.
