The Americans advanced to the gold-medal game with a 76-66 win over Spain on Saturday. Breanna Stewart led Team USA with 16 points, while Kahleah Copper added 13 and Jackie Young finished with 12. The Americans pulled away in the fourth quarter after the game was tied at 58 entering the final period.
France reached its first World Cup final by defeating host Germany 86-64 earlier Saturday. Gabby Williams led France with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals as France pulled away from Germany to set up the championship matchup with Team USA.
