Malik Willis was signed by the Miami Dolphins this offseason to a three-year, $67.5 million contract with $45 million fully guaranteed. With Tua Tagovailoa released, Willis will start the season as Miami’s starting quarterback, with Quinn Ewers as the backup.

As a backup to Jordan Love on the Green Bay Packers, Willis proved to be more than serviceable. The 6-foot-1 quarterback had elite production in his four appearances in 2025. The Roswell High School graduate threw for 422 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions while completing 85.7% of his passes. Willis is also known for his wheels, rushing for 123 yards on 5.6 yards per carry and two touchdowns in 2025.
With the Dolphins trading Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos and letting Tyreek Hill become an unrestricted free agent, what was once a strength of the team now appears to be a position that needs improvement. On Tuesday, Miami made a move to improve the wide receiver room by signing Jalen Reagor.
Reagor was a former first-round pick (No. 21 overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft, notably selected one pick before the Minnesota Vikings chose All-Pro Justin Jefferson. Despite having his most productive seasons with Philadelphia, the Eagles moved on from the Waxahachie High School graduate after just two seasons, trading him to the Minnesota Vikings.

Reagor has bounced around the NFL since the trade, spending 2022 in Minnesota, 2023 with the New England Patriots and 2024 with the Los Angeles Chargers. After not playing professional football during the 2025 season, the 5-foot-11 wide receiver will have another chance to prove himself with the Dolphins in 2026. Although Reagor has not lived up to his draft billing in professional football, Miami hopes to turn his career around.

Miami will hit the road to open the 2026 NFL regular season against the Los Angeles Raiders on Sunday, Sept. 13, at Allegiant Stadium.
