But, until then, Finals MVP and the current King of New York City Jalen Brunson will continue making headlines for the right reasons this offseason.
In the latest news, according to NBA Insider Chris Haynes, Brunson along with his family has launched a brand advisory firm called, “Thirty Third Management Group.”
For those that are not familiar with the number 33 in terms of Brunson, it’s the number the Dallas Mavericks selected him in the second round of the 2018 draft. Of course, knowing what we know now, if there were a redraft, he would go in the top five or six of that draft class.
Per Haynes on X, the firm “will manage his off-court business and represent clients across professional sports, business and philanthropy.”
In his statement, Brunson shared that Thirty Third gives his family the opportunity to take ownership of all his off-the-court ventures.
“My family has been with me every step of the way, and everything we do is rooted in trust, said Brunson. “Thirty Third gives us the chance to take ownership of my off-court business, to build something that reflects who we are, and to do it together.”
Erica Brunson added, “This firm was born from a belief that the most powerful brands are built on trust, purpose, and genuine human connection. As a family, we’ve had the privilege of supporting Jalen’s growth beyond basketball, and that experience inspired us to create an advisory platform that helps others do the same.”

The executive suite at Thirty Third Management will consist of Sandra Brunson (mother), who will serve as President, Erica Brunson (sister), who will serve as Director of Client Services, and Connor Cashaw as Director of Business Development. They have also brought on Meister Seelig & Schuster PLLC to serve as legal counsel.

The Thirty Third Management Group Objective Moving Forward
Currently, Jalen Brunson is the firm’s primary client, but the firm will focus on advising athletes, NIL talent, executives, entrepreneurs and charitable foundations on brand development, partnership strategy, business development and philanthropy, according to the press release.

In his latest commercial to promote his third installment of the Anthony Edwards with Adidas, the Timberwolves guard took a shot the Brunson during his “Minnatlantasota’ late night monologue.
“Shoutout to my boy for winning the ‘chip, though. I ain’t gonna lie, I’m going to be there soon, y’all. Just wait on it…” said Edwards.
“If you on the court against me, anybody can get it. Even your daddy. I don’t care if he’s your assistant coach.”
Speaking of late-night monologues later this month, Brunson is scheduled to host the premiere of the 52nd season of Saturday Night Live with pop group KATSEYE serving as musical guests.
Other hosts this season will include Dakota Johnson, Shane Gillis, and Inde Navarrette, according to NBA.com. Brunson joins other athletes such as LeBron James, Derek Jeter, and Eli Manning.
