The Green Bay Packers were on the wrong end of an embarrassing 35-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. For the third straight week, they looked like one of the worst teams in the league, with seemingly no solutions on the horizon.

Ahead of their Week 4 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there are plenty of questions to ask about the Packers’ lackadaisical start and where they go from here.
Who Will Run The Ball?
The Packers’ rushing attack was abysmal once again in Week 3. Even worse, while production was lacking, Green Bay barely tried to run the ball at all.
Both MarShawn Lloyd and Kaleb Johnson had just four rushing attempts each, combining for just 17 yards. It’s the fewest rushing yards by a Packers team since 2000, and only the fifth time they’ve rushed for 17 yards or less since 1932.
Josh Jacobs isn’t walking through that door anytime soon, so that possible solution is out. The Packers have tried and failed with what they have, and considering the lack of confidence shown in the group, maybe it’s best to look for another outside option ahead of Week 4.
What Can Be Done About the Packers’ Struggling Offensive Line?
Injuries be damned, the Packers’ offensive line hasn’t been good for a while, no matter who they’ve put out there. That fact was evident on Thursday night.
For the third straight game, the unit failed to protect quarterback Jordan Love. Meanwhile, they were so bad at run blocking that the Packers all but gave up on even trying to rush the football well before the contest was out of hand.

Without a running game, Green Bay tried to implement more screens and quick passes. It didn’t matter. Love wasn’t perfect, finishing 28-of-53 for 312 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception, but it was clear the pressure had him seeing ghosts all night.
Arguably the team’s best offensive lineman, right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele is out for the season, and left guard Aaron Banks’ status is becoming a weekly question mark. After Thursday’s disaster, will the Packers roll with the same combo in Week 4 against the Buccaneers? They may have no choice.
Is HC Matt LaFleur’s Job in Jeopardy?
It’s hard to imagine a team firing a head coach after Week 3. Even more so when you’ve agreed to a contract extension with said head coach, which doesn’t kick in until next season.
At some point, no matter the excuses, you are what you are. Right now, the Packers aren’t a very good football team, and that’s on LaFleur.
The issues that led to Thursday night’s debacle against the Falcons are the same that have hampered the Packers going back to last season. They look unprepared every week, and LaFleur’s play-calling and situational awareness are woefully lacking game to game.
