The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 2-0 with a 33-30 win in overtime against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes had one of his best games in a couple of years, going 32-for-47 for 382 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. The 382 passing yards were the most he has thrown for since the 2023 season.

It was a statement game after he was rather pedestrian through the air against the Denver Broncos with 184 yards, two TDs and an interception in his first game back from a torn ACL and LCL in his knee. Pro Football Focus has ranked him No. 4 among quarterbacks in Week 3 for the second straight week.

Mahomes has been sacked twice in each game. The Chiefs have been without starting left tackle Josh Simmons (back), who was replaced by undrafted free-agent Kahlil Benson. Starting right tackle Jaylon Moore missed some time in the third quarter Sunday due to injury but returned to the game.
The Chiefs hit the road for the first time in 2026 to face the 0-2 Miami Dolphins Sunday.
