A Reno, Nev., woman died after a collision between a personal watercraft and a recreational boat at Frenchman Lake on Saturday, Plumas County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Plumas County emergency responders received a Text-to-911 message reporting the collision near the Frenchman Lake boat launch at about 11:21 a.m. Saturday. Authorities said the personal watercraft collided with a recreational boat.
Emergency personnel from multiple agencies responded to the scene and initiated lifesaving efforts for the woman, who was operating the personal watercraft. She was pronounced dead at the scene and identified as Sandra Ann Skender, 47, of Reno.

The collision remained under investigation as of Tuesday, and authorities said alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
