Rey Mysterio has another family milestone in mind before he eventually calls time on his legendary WWE career. With his daughter Aalyah now training at the WWE Performance Center, the Hall of Famer hopes to share the ring with both of his children, Dominik and Aalyah, in what would be a first for his family.

Speaking to “The Sun,” Mysterio revealed that Aalyah’s decision to pursue wrestling has added another goal to his career bucket list. While he has long hoped that Dominik would eventually be the one to retire him, he now wants to experience a moment that would include both of his children.
“I have my daughter training, I mean, that’s, that’s like a different thing for me. I would really love to be able to try and share the ring with both. Why not? I don’t think it’s ever been done in history, so to be able to share the ring with my daughter and my son, it would be something. It’s a personal hope or dream of mine.”
Aalyah has already appeared on WWE television several times, including during a 2020 storyline involving Buddy Murphy and later as part of the family drama surrounding Rey and Dominik. However, those appearances came before she began seriously pursuing an in-ring career.
The younger Mysterio has since taken steps toward following her father and brother into the business. “The Master of 619” previously revealed that Aalyah trained at the Performance Center in October 2025 and returned for two weeks in February 2026 before preparing to establish herself there more regularly.
Rey Mysterio Still Has a Story to Finish With Dominik
Mysterio’s retirement plans still involve Dominik, even though their most significant rivalry already produced a WrestleMania match. The father and son faced each other at WrestleMania 39 after Dominik turned against Rey and joined The Judgment Day, but “The Master of 619” does not consider their story finished.

“I think going back with Dom, you know, you’ve seen Rocky, Rocky 2, Rocky 3, and you know, maybe you thought that was the ending? And then all of a sudden you get another Rocky. Or the Terminator, whatever it is. Those movies that are legendary and are classics; to this day, you can enjoy. I think that can always happen with Dom and myself.”
He continued:
“Maybe we thought that was a finale or an ending, but the story is always there. It’s very accessible to knock back on that door and reopen that. So, I mean, yeah, that was my original thought [Dom retiring him] from the moment my son stepped in. It just it happened so fast. His growth happened so fast that I didn’t think it was gonna come within 2-3 years after him breaking into the business. It’s crazy.”
Rey’s comparison to “Rocky” and “The Terminator” reflects his belief that a major chapter does not necessarily have to be the final one. He originally expected Dominik to need several years before becoming established enough to potentially retire him, but his son’s development happened much faster than anticipated.
Now, with Aalyah beginning her own training, Rey Mysterio has another possibility to consider. A match involving all three Mysterios would give the Hall of Famer a final family chapter unlike anything he initially envisioned.
