What happens when you put two Jackson Hole-bred skiers in a head-to-head trick match (have we mentioned we love a head-to-head battle?) at one of North America’s best freeride playgrounds? If you answered ‘the second round of SLVSH Games this season,’ your Instagram algorithm is probably excellent, and you’re spot on.

After kicking off a few weeks ago, the second SLVSH freeride competition of the season went live today with an epic matchup between Teton-raised skiers Nate Pruzan and Wyatt Gentry. Although raised on the same mountain, Pruzan and Gentry have a fairly different style on skis. Luckily, the terrain at BC’s Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (which is often compared to Jackson Hole) has a bit of everything and lets these two get creative.
We won’t spoil it for you, but it’s clear that both these skiers know how to play to their strengths. Like the basketball game, HORSE, opponents take turns setting and executing lines and tricks. The winner of the previous challenge gets to set the next unless both default, which offers a good opportunity for strategy. Failure to complete a challenge earns you a letter, with the first skier to spell S-L-V-S-H losing. You can watch these two duke it out below.

Gentry, 20, grew up chasing his older brother, Luke, around Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and training with the Jackson Hole Evolution team. Over the last five years, Gentry has skied in film projects with Blank Collective, claimed a third-place podium spot at the Junior Freeride World Tour Championships in Kappl, Austria, and competed in Kings & Queens of Corbet’s.
Pruzan, 19, also spent winters skiing Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and dialing in his big mountain trick bag with the Jackson Hole Ski Club’s Freeride program. A multi-talented athlete, Pruzan also spent his summers taking advantage of all the Teton’s snowmelt whitewater kayaking on the Snake River and its tributaries. In 2023, Pruzan became the youngest person to ski Jackson’s famous S&S Couloir. This year, he qualified for the 2027 Freeride World Tour, not to mention for one of the gnarliest races in whitewater.
