CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson is ready to take on the challenges of covering the 2026 NFL season.

Wolfson, 51, has been with CBS for the past 22 years. The three-time Emmy Award-winning reporter has done a marvelous job covering the NFL for CBS Sports. She’s been the lead NFL reporter for the network since May 2014.
In addition to covering the NFL on CBS, Wolfson has been on the sideline for countless NCAA Tournament games.
“Wolfson began her on-air broadcasting career in 2000 at WZBN-TV in Trenton, N.J. as a sports anchor, reporter and producer,” her CBS bio states. “She has worked for Oxygen Sports, Long Island News Tonight and News-12 Long Island. Wolfson began her professional career at CBS Sports in 1997 as a researcher working on U.S. Open Tennis, the 1998 Olympic Winter Games and the 1997 NCAA Final Four.”
With Week 1 of the season here, Wolfson shared a photo on social media Friday morning along with the caption: “It’s that time again.”
Unsurprisingly, Wolfson received plenty of love from NFL fans.
“You are the absolute best! Can’t wait to see and hear you every Sunday,” one fan said.

“I appreciate your work. I appreciate your professionalism,” a second fan wrote. “Have an outstanding season.”
“Amazing. Have a great trip! We all love you and thank you for the great work you do. Such a fun season ahead, here we go,” another person commented.
“You’re going to crush it again,” another fan added.
New crew for Tracy Wolfson – sort of.
Wolfson will remain part of the No. 1 crew for CBS this NFL season. She’ll cover an NFC North showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings this Sunday.
While Jim Nantz will remain the lead play-by-play announcer for CBS, the network has replaced color commentator Tony Romo with J.J. Watt.
Romo was placed on leave last month after being arrested in Wisconsin for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possessing open intoxicants.
