Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift wedding guests include Chiefs players, A-list celebs

After 11 months of intense speculation, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and worldwide singing sensation Taylor Swift are officially married.

The couple celebrated Friday with friends and family in New York City, renting out Madison Square Garden, the home of the NBA champion New York Knicks.

Kansas City played a huge role in their love story. Kelce tried, unsuccessfully, to get his number to Swift at her Eras Tour show at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium — then shared about his disappointment on the New Heights podcast, catching her attention.

Weeks later, Swift showed up to watch Kelce play at Arrowhead, and they drove off together after the Chiefs’ blowout victory in his “getaway car.”

That hard-launched their relationship and boy, oh boy, did the tabloids and gossip sites go all-in on their every move.

Another Kansas City connection came last summer, when Kelce proposed to Swift in the backyard of his Leawood home. After that, fans wanted to know every detail of what their wedding would look like and where it would be held.

Photographers caught Swift’s car leaving her New York apartment and arriving at Madison Square Garden.

Previous reports said the storied New York arena in Lower Manhattan would open for guests at 4:30 p.m. local time. A cocktail hour was set for 5 p.m. and the wedding was to begin at 6:30 p.m.

The stars were out for the nuptials, with numerous recognizable faces attending the ceremony.

Actor and Big Slick co-host Eric Stonestreet, a longtime friend of Kelce and the Chiefs, was among the guests. Ditto for fellow Big Slick co-host and “Ted Lasso” co-creator and star Jason Sudeikis.

Many of Kelce’s current or former Chiefs teammates were at the wedding, including defensive tackle Chris Jones, George Karlaftis, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kareem Hunt, Jared Wiley, Jake Briningstool, Tre Watson and Mecole Hardman.

Friends of the Kelce brothers posted photos of themselves in their tuxedoes before the event. They included Joe Oravec, a longtime friend of Travis, and one of Jason’s buds, former Philadelphia Eagles player Beau Allen — who also posed with a woman in a gold evening gown.

Ross Travis, one of Kelce’s best friends, was at the ceremony, as well. Ditto for Kumar Ferguson, a longtime friend of Kelce and personal chef.

The Kelce brothers’ social media accounts shared pre-event photos, including one of The Chainsmokers — Alex Pall and Drew Taggart — wearing tuxes.

Gracie Hunt, daughter of Chiefs CEO and chairman Clark Hunt, posted an image of the New York City skyline as she prepared for the night.
