Former NFL guard Jordan Devey passed away. He died by suicide, according to his family. Devey won a Super Bowl while playing for the Patriots. He also played for the Ravens, Chiefs, Raiders and Bills.
“Tragically, Jordan took his own life, leaving his family to navigate an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time,” per a GoFundMe page. “As they face overwhelming emotional and financial challenges, including mounting medical expenses, the community is coming together to support Linsey and their children. The funds raised will help ease the financial burden, allowing them to focus on healing and moving forward without the added stress of immediate expenses.”
The former NFL lineman died on his would-be 15th wedding anniversary.
“We have filled the walls of our homes and hearts with countless memories, joys, struggles, and triumphs. We brought 4 beautiful children into this world that have your eyes, freckles, and compassion,” his wife wrote. “You were our hero and our hearts ache in your absence. We love you. We miss you. And as you said in your last words to me, “we’ll talk soon.” ❤️ Please if you are able, donate to our fund to ease the financial burdens that weigh heavy on our hearts.”

“I don’t even know what to write or say. Big Country was my buddy growing up. I was telling my boys about him the other day- played baseball ⚾️, football 🏈, and the tuba. I can’t imagine what you’re feeling or going through- but know I loved growing up with him! he was a true friend, a dang good ball player (knuckle baller) and was fun watching him play. Sending all the love and comfort for family can get right now,” one fan added.
