Two people were injured in a house fire in Roseville’s Highland Reserve neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to the Roseville Fire Department.

After seeing smoke coming from the home, passersby called 911 and helped the residents safely get out, the Fire Department said in a social media post.
Around 1:01 p.m., Roseville fire dispatchers received reports of a fire at a two-story, single family home on Avila Drive.
Firefighters arrived to find significant fire on both stories of the home. All residents and animals were safely evacuated.

This fire was brought to a second alarm due to high temperatures and extended work needed at the scene, the Fire Department added. Two residents were treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Crews worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to surrounding properties. The fire has been contained, but the home sustained significant damage.
