On Sunday at 10:53 a.m. the NWS Hanford CA released an updated lake wind advisory in effect until 11 p.m. for Kern River Valley.

“West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected,” adds the NWS. “Highways impacted include State Routes 155 and 178.”

“Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft,” explains the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
