The two men fatally shot outside a Yuba City convenience store late Sunday were identified Tuesday by the Sutter County Coroner’s Office, sheriff’s officials said.

The men were identified as Fernando Cortez, 21, and Moses Mendoza, 18, both of Yuba City. The two were shot outside the 7-Eleven store in the 900 block of Market Street, Yuba City police said. Investigators believe a fight preceded the shootings.
Officers responded just before 11 p.m. Sunday to multiple reports of gunfire and a fight outside the store and found Cortez dead at the scene. Mendoza, who was critically wounded, was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.

A third man, 19, walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand, police said.
No arrests have been made, and police continue to investigate the fatal shootings.
