Phoenix Mercury star Alyssa Thomas has earned another achievement, placing her alongside a WNBA legend.

The 13-year veteran joined elite company. She stands alongside Diana Taurasi as the only players with 4,000 points, 2,000 assists, and 2,000 rebounds.
The six-time WNBA All-Star achieved this feat in the Mercury’s 100-104 loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Monday. Thomas had 19 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds. Her teammate, Kahleah Copper, scored 23 points and grabbed three rebounds.
The WNBA celebrated the achievement of the 6-foot-2 forward by posting on its official X account.

Reaching this milestone as only the second player in league history is an incredible achievement. Sharing the record with a legend like Taurasi makes it even more special.

Despite her recent issues, there is no denying that Thomas has been a consistent star in the league. The fourth overall pick of the 2014 WNBA Draft spent the first 11 years of her career with the Connecticut Sun. She was then traded to the Mercury before the 2025 season and has been with them since.
Thomas currently has career averages of 12.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.5 steals. She has also earned four All-WNBA selections and seven All-Defensive Team selections.
The 2023 WNBA rebounding champion also helped Team USA win the gold medal in the 2024 Olympics.
Unfortunately, Phoenix is currently in a slump, having lost four consecutive games. They are 12th in the WNBA standings with an 8-17 record.
