The Dallas Wings are at home Thursday night as they host the Los Angeles Sparks in their first game back following the WNBA’s break for the FIBA Women’s World Cup.

Los Angeles enters Thursday’s game with a 15-25 record after defeating the Seattle Storm on the road in its final game ahead of the break on Aug. 30.

In their victory over the Storm, Nneka Ogwumike led the way for the Sparks as she recorded 23 points, 12 rebounds and three assists while Rae Burrell added 22 points, four rebounds and three assists of her own.

The Sparks will try to grab their third consecutive victory Thursday as they face off against the Wings in a tough road matchup.

Dallas enters Thursday’s contest with a 24-16 record after defeating the Connecticut Sun at home in its final game before the break on Aug. 30.

Jessica Shepard led the way for the Wings in their victory over the Sun as she ended the game with 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists while Arike Ogunbowale recorded 18 points, four rebounds and three assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, one may be without one of their key players due to injury.

Sparks Injury Report

The Sparks have nobody listed on their injury report for Thursday’s matchup as they will enter the game with a completely healthy roster.

This is great news for Los Angeles as the team tries to grab a key victory on the road in Dallas.

Wings Injury Report: Will Alanna Smith Play?

The Wings have three players listed on their injury report, including forward Alanna Smith.

Dallas has ruled out Smith due to a lower left leg injury as she will miss her first game since July 29.

The Wings have also ruled out Costanza Verona due to personal reasons while Azzi Fudd will miss the remainder of the season while recovering from right knee surgery.
