A regional pizza chain has reopened its restaurant in Fair Oaks after more than a year.

Round Table Pizza at 4400 San Juan Ave. is under new ownership and has been remodeled, according to a news release.
The pizzeria closed in May 2025 and relaunched business operations Sept. 10, according to a statement from Sophie Smith, a spokesperson for FAT Brands, which represents the company.
“Round Table Pizza is welcoming guests back to its San Juan Avenue location… bringing its signature handcrafted pizzas back to the local community,” the release read.
Raj Pooni is the new owner, according to Smith. Round Table is known for its medieval theme and family atmosphere.

There are more than 400 Round Table locations, mostly in the western United States, with 28 in the Sacramento area, according the company website. Local restaurants are at the following addresses:

The pizza chain was started in 1959 at Menlo Park by Bill Larson, according to its online history.
“He envisioned a gathering place where you could ‘share a little pizza with someone you love’” the website said. “(Larson) believed in using gold-standard ingredients and time-honored recipes to boldly bake hand-crafted pizza worth sharing.”
Round Table Fair Oaks is open 10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
