The wide receiver position has taken ample damage the first two weeks, with many big names hurt or struggling.

Any fantasy football managers who waited and drafted Jaguars sleeper Parker Washington, however, likely sit in solid shape.
We’re still waiting on some studs to get going but have identified a few risers who can reside in lineups for the near future.
For Week 3, I went a little bit deeper with playable wide receivers than usual, given how many key names are injured. We have to scrape the barrel, but luckily we have plenty of rational dart throws.
Jump ahead for my full Week 3 WR rankings. Let’s get through this tough week together!

Fantasy Football Week 3 WR Rankings: Start ‘Em
- Drake London, Falcons at Packers
- Dontayvion Wicks, Eagles vs. Bears
- Adonai Mitchell, Jets at Lions
- Xavier Hutchinson, Texans at Colts
Drake London will get Michael Penix Jr. back at quarterback; he’s not a star but certainly presents an upgrade over Cooper Rush for the No. 1 wideout’s weekly upside:

Dontayvion Wicks, meanwhile, will assuredly see a bigger target share with TE Dallas Goedert (knee) out at least a few weeks. Getting his first draw in this likely expanded role against the Bears’ secondary should lead to a near career day.
Adonai Mitchell has stood up in Omar Cooper’s absence, presenting Geno Smith with an intriguing downfield target. Detroit’s secondary has wilted with its two starting safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph on injured reserve.
Hutchinson may have a big role even if Nico Collins (hamstring) due to his familiarity with CJ Stroud. X only caught three passes in Week 2 but was targeted nine times; that’s a promising development for anyone looking to replace an injured wideout. The Colts’ secondary has failed to stop aerial offenses so far, even with CB Sauce Gardner healthy.
Fantasy Football Week 3 WR Rankings: Sit ‘Em
- Denzel Boston, Browns vs. Panthers
- Terry McLaurin, Commanders vs. Seahawks
As I mentioned before, we don’t really want to sit too many reliable names this week because of all the injuries. However, we can’t ignore fade risks even if they’re startable.
Boston’s promising skill set shone through against the Buccaneers’ defensive backfield in Week 2 but faces a tough draw in either Panthers cornerback (Mike Jackson or Jaycee Horn) this weekend. Think WR3/Flex instead of breakout WR2.
McLaurin looks like he might be slipping on the pecking order behind Stefon Diggs (and maybe rookie Antonio Williams), and Jayden Daniels’ elbow injury likely means Marcus Mariota will start in Week 3; expect a run-heavy attack without much downfield comfort that would normally suit F1. Plus, staring down the Seahawks defense doesn’t help.
