The 2026 Minnesota Thoroughbred Sale posted significant gains in gross and average sale price on Sept. 6 at Canterbury Park, topped by a $91,000 filly by Global Campaign.

A total of 18 horses changed hands during the auction, comprised entirely of Minnesota-bred yearlings, for revenues of $498,500, marking an increase of 106 percent from the 2025 edition, when 21 horses sold for $241,750. The average sale price jumped 140 percent to $27,694 from $11,512.
Carin Offerman purchased the sale-topper, going to $91,000 for , a filly by Global Campaign. The bay filly is the second foal out of the unraced Dialed In mare Miss Ring, whose first foal, Rhyme Away, won the Northern Lights Debutante Stakes at Canterbury Park earlier this year after finishing second in the Iowa Stallion Futurity at Prairie Meadows.

Consigned by Richard Bremer and Cheryl Sprick, the filly hails from the family of British Group 3-placed Governor George, while dam Miss Ring is a half-sister to Minnesota stakes winners Bet Your Boots, Shipmate, and Bet Your Life, along with state-bred stakes-placed runners Sun Country and Bet Your Socks.
Offerman was the sale’s leading buyer, with two purchases totaling $160,000, also including a $69,000 Mitole filly who was the day’s second-most expensive offering. The auction’s top two horses were both consigned by Bremer and Sprick, who led all sellers by gross, with $230,000 from five sold.
