A 28-year-old woman who police said assaulted three people, including a teenager, before barricading herself inside a Sacramento apartment was arrested Tuesday night following a standoff with officers.

Sacramento police responded just after 6:30 p.m. to reports of an assault in the 20 block of Howe Avenue in the College Town neighborhood, where officers said Aeiryn Champaine Warren swung a knife at a victim before barricading herself inside her residence.
The standoff occurred at Hope Landing, a low-income apartment complex for people 55 and older. Crisis negotiators and SWAT officers were called to the complex as police worked to resolve the standoff.
Police said Warren punched a 15-year-old and caused a minor injury to the teen’s parent. Both were taken to a hospital.
A third victim, an adult man, suffered minor injuries in the assault, police said Wednesday.

The standoff lasted several hours before Warren was safely detained shortly before 10:30 p.m., according to police.
Warren was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on suspicion of offenses related to assault with a deadly weapon, battery, child endangerment and resisting arrest, police said. She also was booked on outstanding warrants.
Police did not immediately provide additional details about what led to the assault or Warren’s relationship to the three victims.
Warren was expected to appear before a judge in a separate criminal case on Thursday, according to Sacramento Superior Court records.
